The Steps to Write an Essay

Step #1. Research. Start the essays writing process from choosing your topic. Use the Internet, the library, and the academic databases. Take some notes and absorb yourself in the great thinkers’ words.

Step #2. Analysis. Begin analyzing the proofs of the essays you are reading. Clearly state the claims, trace out the reasons, and the evidence. Seek for weak and strong points of logic.

Step #3. Brainstorming. Your essays wring will demand your own insight, real essay-writing brilliance. You need to ask yourself many questions and answer them. Ponder with a pencil in your hand until you find new insights to write.

Step #4. Thesis. Your thesis is your major point, summarized in a short sentence that gives the reader opportunity to know where you are going, and why.

Step #5. Outline. Draft your essay before immediate writing it out. Utilize one-line sentences in order to describe sections, and bullet items to depict what each section will contain.

Step #6. Introduction. The introduction should attract the reader’s attention, compose the issue, and direct to your thesis.

Step #7. Paragraphs. Each individual section should be concentrated on a single concept that maintains your thesis. Start paragraphs with theme sentences, maintain states with proofs, and explain your thoughts in the clearest and most reasonable way you can.

Step #8. Conclusion. Gracefully exit your work by making a fast wrap-up sentence, and finish on some unforgettable thought, perhaps an interesting twist of logic or a quotation.

Step #9. MLA Style. Format your work due to the right guidelines for citation.

Step #10. Language. Your essays writing are not done until you have refined your language by improving the grammar, writing sentences flow, incorporating emphasis, rhythm, arranging the formality, and making many other intuitional edits.
