Writing an Essay

Even if many of the essays that you write will be evaluated in some way and they will contribute to the final grade of yours, it is not their single function. Also, they play an integral role in assisting you to study. They do it by maintaining you to search a topic detailed, and by aiding you to make better your ability to find and recover relevant material; interpret, assess, and analyze data and opinions; create an obvious and logical argument.
In appointing a grade to your essays writing, the marker is evaluating how much you have studied. They will be concerned, not just in whether you have introduced a sound understanding and knowledge of the problems raised by your topic, but also in if you have demonstrated that you have obtained the research, communication and thinking skills, which are needful for good academic essays writing.
There is no common formula for good essays writing. Actually, the best essays usually treat the same problem quite differently. There are, though, a number of peculiarities, which distinguish great essays from bad ones. General, good essays present evidence of research going beyond the textbook and lectures; develop and uphold a position on an issue; are structured in a clear and logical manner; use and incorporate a wide array of detailed evidence; reference the sources of information in an accurate way.
Poor essays display some of the next weaknesses:
1) a shortage of requirement’s understanding of the topic and issues that it raises;
2) inadequate research and others.
